PRESIDENT MWAI KIBAKI AWAITING TO BE SWORN AS THE PRESIDENT OF KENYA.
From left to right seated: Kalonzo Musyoka, Raila Odinga and Mwai Kibaki
In the year 2002 under the umbrella of NARC these three politicians campaigned as a united team and President Kibaki won the elections with a land-slide.
Through their campaigns many pledges and promises were made, these included;
(i) A new constitution within a hundred days after taking charge of the government
(ii) Free primary education
(iii) Creation of 500,000 jobs every year
(iv) Zero tolerance to corruption
(v) Economy to grow in double digits
etc
>>>FAST FORWARD

This year (2008) Kenya experienced the worst post election violence after the presidential election results were disputed.
Through the A.U (African union) a peace accord was brokered through the mediation of former U.N General secretary Koffi Annan .
This saw the coming together of two protagonists’ i.e. President Kibaki and Raila Odinga the latter being named as the Prime minister.
Now the big question is, are we seeing the re-birth of NARC’s dream are the promises that were made in year 2002-2003 be fulfilled?
THE SO CALLED PEACE RALLIES TO RESETTLE IDPS

It was supposed to be peace rallies to meet the internally displaced people (IDPS) in the refugee camps, but it turned out to be battles of supremacy between the Vice president Kalonzo Musyoka and Prime Minister Raila Odinga concerning who was greater than the other.
Its has been referred to as issues to do with protocol.
OBSERVATION
Is this the servant leadership that we were promised?
Why do politicians create up a mess to benefit their own greed and leave us the poor slaughtering each other?
